PLAIN LANGUAGE  Plain language is a style of writing designed for word choice, sentence structure, and layout to improve readability and increase understanding. The Plain Language Big Book does not replace the 4th Edition Big Book. It is not a rewriting of the Big Book, but another Big Book translation (similar to translation to Spanish or French) to make reading the Big Book as accessible to as many people as possible.
